1) To provide a "Resource Center" for the Indian-American community – new immigrants as well as established residents – through our comprehensive network and rich local expertise on relevant issues such as:
· Immigration
· Domestic Violence
· Drug Abuse
· Medical Issues
· Legal Issues
2) To facilitate better integration of the Indian-American community with the "main stream" – while still retaining the core attributes of our Indian heritage and culture.
3) To improve the perception of Indians as a whole in US society – especially with but not limited to – local law enforcement, civic bodies, and the local government. We want to be viewed as peaceful, law abiding citizens who contribute to society.
We want to be viewed as a community that contributes intellectually, culturally, and financially – while at the same time integrating and learning to be true Americans.
